Join us to:
·Engage in learning about visual and performing arts that encourages children to observe, choose, explore, manipulate and organize.
·Examine lesson plans aligned to California Content Standards and (for some) the new Common Core State Standards.
·View how visual and performing arts learning integrates and enriches learning in science, math, language, history/social science and English language development.
·Experience various mediums, processes and projects within the disciplines of the visual and performing arts.
·Begin to compile a portfolio of visual and performing arts samples.
·Consider how the arts can support intellectual, creative, social, physical and linguistic development in TK-8th grade classrooms.
·Build a network of educators that support arts implementation in schools throughout the community.
